Before my husband and I were ‘Intended Parents’, we were just Baden and Zane. In fact, we were fairly private about our fertility journey until deciding one day to go totally public.
The origin of Not My Tummy was dedicated to us sharing our own story - a look into what a real surrogacy journey looked like.
OUR FIRST JOURNEY
Three Colts
We started our surrogacy search as a family of three: Baden, Zane, and Dodi, our beloved family doodle.
Two Transfers
There are no guarantees in IVF and surrogacy, something that’s often overlooked by people who have never walked the halls of a fertility clinic. We were heartbroken when the first transfer didn't take.
One Baby
Following a love story for the ages, heartbreaking infertility and loss, and the adventure of a lifetime since meeting Ashley and her family, we were trilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Scottie Joel Colt.

After completing two additional rounds of IVF and matching with an incredible new surrogate, whose identity will be shared at a later date, we are excited to be embarking on a surrogacy sibling journey!
